Are BBQ pellet bags air/water tight? https://bbqpelletsonline.com/bbqpelletsonline/index.php/2016-02-28-20-40-43/bbq-pellet-faq-s/359-are-bbq-pellet-bags-air-water-tight https://bbqpelletsonline.com/bbqpelletsonline/index.php/2016-02-28-20-40-43/bbq-pellet-faq-s/359-are-bbq-pellet-bags-air-water-tight  No, BBQ pellet bags have micro holes to let air escape allowing the bag to stack flat on a pallet. If they didn't have holes, it would be like stacking water balloons and be very unstable.

Are Lumber Jack Pellets Compatible with My Smoker/Grill? https://bbqpelletsonline.com/bbqpelletsonline/index.php/2016-02-28-20-40-43/bbq-pellet-faq-s/322-are-lumber-jack-pellets-compatible-with-my-smoker-grill https://bbqpelletsonline.com/bbqpelletsonline/index.php/2016-02-28-20-40-43/bbq-pellet-faq-s/322-are-lumber-jack-pellets-compatible-with-my-smoker-grill If you have a wood pellet grill we have the pellets for you.

Want to know a secret?

Some major grill manufacturers make more money selling their pellets than they do their grills. Yes, even the very expensive grills, you know the names, and likely have sat through an infomercial or two. The real secret is you do not have to use their brand of wood pellets for your BBQ pellet grill. No, in-fact you will love our LumberJack pellets. They are whole log sourced and are the actually wood variety you see on the label. Other brands just sell you wood pellets and add oils to impart the intended flavor. This is like adding chocolate flavor instead of getting really Hersey chocolate. It is never the same, and the flavor that is produced is a chemical concoction, not a natural process. When LumberJack says Apple or Cherry they mean the whole Cherry Tree goes in and the amazing Cherry Pellets come out. With every variety of wood pellets we carry you can smell, and more important taste the real difference.

So if you want the World's Best Wood Pellets for your grill stop searching we have them here by the bag or the pallet load. We can even help you set up a group buy with other customers if you want many bags but maybe not a full ton. You save on shipping and help others near you save too. The ultimate BBQ win-win.

We have thousands upon thousands of satisfied customers. We have heard specific positive feedback about Lumber Jack pellet use in virtually all smokers/grill such as  Traeger, Green Mountain Grill (GMG), RecTec, Pellet Pro, Louisiana Grills, Memphis Grills, Cookshack, Fast Eddie, Black Olive, and more.

B. How are the Pallets put Together at the Lumber Jack Plant? https://bbqpelletsonline.com/bbqpelletsonline/index.php/2016-02-28-20-40-43/bbq-pellet-faq-s/308-how-are-the-pallets-put-together-at-the-lumber-jack-plant https://bbqpelletsonline.com/bbqpelletsonline/index.php/2016-02-28-20-40-43/bbq-pellet-faq-s/308-how-are-the-pallets-put-together-at-the-lumber-jack-plant Here's how Lumber Jack pallets are built at the factory.
  1. Empty Heavy Duty four-way pallet is set out. FYI, these pallets are beefed up compared to pallets used for heating pellets.
  2. Thick paper is laid out on pallet as a vapor barrier and to provide basic protection for the bottom layer of bags.
    1 pallet empty readied
  3. Non-slip bags printed with non-slip ink are interlocked stacked based on the specific varieties for each order.
  4. Fully stacked Pallet waiting to be wrapped
    2 pallet stacked
  5. A protective cardboard barrier is wrapped around the bags and then shrink-wrapped.
  6. Pallet is covered with thick plastic and shrink-wrapped again.
    3 pallet uncovered
  7. Final wrap/bag

E. What does it mean "Hickory Flavored"? https://bbqpelletsonline.com/bbqpelletsonline/index.php/2016-02-28-20-40-43/bbq-pellet-faq-s/303-e-what-does-it-mean-hickory-flavored https://bbqpelletsonline.com/bbqpelletsonline/index.php/2016-02-28-20-40-43/bbq-pellet-faq-s/303-e-what-does-it-mean-hickory-flavored All our flavored BBQ pellets are formulated to provide a mixture of 40% of the flavor wood (Hickory, Pecan, Apple, Mesquite, etc.) and 60% Red Oak base. There 3 reasons for this.

  1. Many species of trees produce too strong a taste for many of our customers (for example, Mesquite).
  2. All wood burns at various heat output levels. Rather than have to adjust the grill for each species the user wants a consistent heat output pellet.
  3. Some woods are very expensive (for example, Mesquite and Pecan). If used in a 100% pellet, the price can be approximately double, putting it out of the range of many customers. We do still make the pricier 100% species BBQ pellets for those that want to blend their own formulas.
